The reasoning is that Iran might have been in concoction with Pyongyang, which is a major partner in the Iranian Nuclear programme indeed alongside China and Russia, to develop the formula for mini-nukes and other nuclear devices. The Iranians are close to the Koreans who were also assisting Syria in a supposed secret nuclear program financed by Damascus.
The US is making a 360 degrees turn around towards a member nation of the famous ‘Axis of Evil’ pronounced by President G. W. Bush two years ago. The swift turn is a complete demarcation from the usual pre-emptive and war based foreign policy of the US. The question is what Washington expects to salvage in turning Pyongyang into an ‘angelic’ state? Bush said Thursday he will lift key trade sanctions against North Korea and remove it from the U.S. terrorism blacklist but maintained innuendoes in his policy statement by saying that he has no illusions about the Pyongyang based regime. Something is not right in the statement and in the action of the US government over North Korea, accused of working closely with Iran to develop nuclear bombs and of benefiting from the black market for the acquisition of nuclear technology parts. In 2006, North Korea tested its nuclear bomb – a minor shock was registered by US satellites – causing a major quake in the world. The international community was shocked that North Korea could explode a nuclear device, meaning that bomb manufacture was in advanced stage. The North Koreans are said to possess at least 12 bombs since the country is believed to have processed enough uranium to produce that amount of bombs. On the other hand, the Bush regime is simply attempting at preventing any of North Korea’s nuke war heads from leaving its soil. The communist nation will reveal how many bombs it has – if any at all – during a second phase of talks. There is no direct indication that the North Koreans will really reveal or display their manufactured bombs to the world as this may account to divulging a national secret. While the US ridiculed the North Korean bomb testing in 2006 saying it was too small an explosion to be a nuclear device, there are reports that suggest the North Koreans may have had copies of the ‘lost’ nuclear blue prints found on the laptop of Swiss businessmen in 2006. In the year 2006, World Futures suggested that North Korea was only steps away to test its first bomb and shake the world. WFOL also insisted that the North Koreans were probably working on mini-nukes devices that could be transported by hand and detonated on the spot by the users. Nuclear devices have developed into sophisticated bombs since the first Atomic bomb was thrown over Japan by the US in a bid to end World War 2. The US motives in polishing the North Koreans and lifting the sanctions against the communist nation is simply an act to lure the North Koreans from: 1, Keeping their end of any bargains regarding the illegal production of Nuclear bombs and 2, isolating the North Koreans further with restrictive conditions imposed on its existing nuclear programme. It is definite that North Korea was in agreement with some quarters to produce nuclear warheads that were to be sold to the interested parties. Iran, Saudi Arabia and Libya are known to have been in search for nuclear devices on the black market. Procuring them from North Korea was one easy step but since it take a long time to fabricate the nuclear war heads, the US managed to catch up with Pyongyang. The US has no choice but to be nice to the communist regime and to concede on its foreign policies against ‘axis’ nations. North Korea is in a better position than Iran and it is almost impossible for the US to enter in yet another Korean War – it lost the first Korean War right after World War 2 – which it will definitely not win. Thus the policy of neutralizing the Koreans on their own turf by offering them the carrot and maintaining the stick, however inefficient the stick is, on the head of its leadership. North Korea is not doing well with its economy in shambles and the people in suffering. The only way for the communist leaders to earn respect from the rest of the world and to bow the US to its demands is to remain secretive about is nuclear bombs. Now that the US has moved to remove North Korea from the list of terrorist nations, it will be up to the Koreans to keep their end of their bargain with whichever state they were involved in the making of the nuclear bombs in the first place. With a possible American-Israeli strike looming on Iran, the world should expect a very different ball game from Teheran. The Iranians will suffer greatly in the event Tel Aviv succeeds to drag Washington in launching a blitz on Iran’s military and strategic economic targets. However, they will be able to retaliate against Israeli and US targets according to military experts who spoke to World Futures. The president said the U.S. action would have little impact on North Korea's financial and diplomatic isolation. "It will remain one of the most heavily sanctioned nations in the world," Bush said. All U.N. sanctions, for example, will remain in place. Bush said the United States would monitor North Korea closely and "if they don't fulfill their promises, more restrictions will be placed on them." Bush said that to end its isolation, North Korea must, for instance, dismantle all of its nuclear facilities and resolve outstanding questions on its highly enriched uranium and proliferation activities "and end these activities in a way that we can fully verify." Doubtful it is that N. Korea will comply 100 percent to the demands of the ‘capitalist’ nations. Comments (0)

Very few people in Jakarta commented on the 'rising' sentiments towards the bombers but deep inside many think the bombers – especially Imam Samudra – went to the extent of bombing Bali due to their rigid beliefs regarding 'Maksyat' or illicit life styles.

The American constitution, the basis of democracy in the USA is indeed a good example of how a democratic system can be hijacked by a group of people with an evil agenda. Democracy is violated in Kenya too where Kenya's opposition movement, which is challenging the election in December that Kenya's president, Mwai Kibaki, narrowly won. In Palestine, the legitimate government is now being suffocated...What democracy is it?
