Now that the dust has settled, lets decide whether buying Shell and Dutch Lady is helping the anti-Islamic elements in their deceitful ways? Muslims are taught not be unfair in their judgements and this is to be practiced even in their purchase of 'western' products. Thus the need to practice selective boycott rather than the emotional outbursts that leads to massive boycotts that affects even innocents.
Boycotting western products to suppress the anti-Muslim and anti-Islam drive from Europe and America could become a weapon of great depression for the economies of the ‘crusader’ nations. However, the Muslim Ummah is still unaware of its economic power and of the greater use of boycott as an effective political tool to curb the west from its egoistic position. Never the less, it seems unfair to target Holland which condemned the making of the cheap and offensive movie 'Fitna'. The Holland government went even further with a ban on the distribution and showing of the movie on its territory. Now that the dust has settled, lets decide whether buying Shell and Dutch Lady is helping the anti-Islamic elements in their deceitful ways? I personally believe that boycotting Holland is unfair treatment and I would suggest a very selective boycott of certain products that actually participates in denigrating Islam and helps the enemies of Islam. The boycott tool cannot be used on a worldwide basis and this is for very good reasons. First of all, the Muslim world is a net importer of food products. From Malaysia to Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Senegal the Muslim countries imports almost everything. Very few Muslim nations are self-sufficient in food products. This defeats the purpose of a worldwide ‘Islamic’ boycott of western products to protest or to forge the hands of the non-Muslim world in the wake of the ‘crusade’ they have launched against Islam. Nevertheless, the Muslims can make a point by focusing on a reduction of the western domination in economic spheres by practicing selective boycotts and a rejection of western brands be it electronics, vehicles, food and beverages or clothing and other items that are highly consumed by Muslims. A close cooperation with opponents of the ‘New World Order’ or NWO would be an added incentive in the Muslim world’s search for a perfect weapon to fend off the crushing advantage the west has on the Muslim Ummah. Western products can be eliminated from the shops and replaced by existing equivalents yet the economic battle can only be won if the Muslims encourages local industries, home based and Small and Medium Enterprises, to produce substitute products. This again can be achieved if the Muslim world cooperate among each other and altogether opens their minds and hearts to cooperate with the direct adversaries of the American hegemony. The Muslims imports most of its food needs from the West, China, and other parts of Asia. The non-Muslim world has a trade balance advantage over the Muslim world and this contributes in the aggressive and military ‘crusade’ launched by western policy makers against Islam, the Quraan and the Muslims. Only an infinite portion of the Muslim world’s yearly productivity is made of ‘food’ or food and beverages related products. Even in Malaysia, the country still imports most of its agricultural need – in terms of fruits and vegetables – though it is a producer of finished goods. Senegal has a population of 95% Muslims yet it is a non-producing nation (food items) and imports most of its food products from Europe (Paris and Holland or Denmark) and this make the country vulnerable to the former Western masters. Only recently the country woke up to understand that it was a gross importer of rice while thousands of hectares of its land were available for agricultural exploitation. There investment from Muslim nations and ‘friendly’ states – which is the U.S. and France in Senegal – are not helping. Should they turn to China or Russia and even Venezuela? While Senegal imports food products, Malaysia imports beef, goat and a large percentage of its agricultural products. The Muslim world produces more oil, gas, gold, uranium and perhaps building materials and so on than food. This exposes the ‘food security’ in Muslim nations and it weakens our political maneuverability. Saudi Arabia imports everything…the UAE does the same, they only have assembly plants but no factories and no agricultural productions. If the Muslims were to use boycott as an effective tool, they have to buckle up and start producing food. It is worth noting that out of the 100 top companies in the Muslim world, only 4% are linked to ‘food’ related products. Hence boycott must be a progressive tool. For example start boycotting products like Macdonalds, KFC or any other western-EU-USA-Australian restaurants and shops. That way, they will feel the pinch. Use alternative food products such as local food, South African restaurants, Asian ones...etc. For boycott to be effective, the Muslims must be selective. This approach is necessary for people living in non-Muslim nations like Mauritius or Reunion Islands and Madagascar or even South Africa and it is also a plausible approach in Malaysia, Indonesia or Saudi Arabia. The major problems faced by Muslims in boycotting Western based products will be scarcity of supply with rising demands. This will lead to a hike in prices and it is the people in countries like Mauritius or Madagascar and even Senegal who suffer the most in such circumstances. However, boycotting food outlets belonging to ‘western’ brands can help put pressure on the arrogant regimes in the West and the U.S. in particular. These nations depend on their economy to be strong and for that they need strong presence outside their own territories. They expand their trade with the efficiency with which their branded products are presented abroad. This includes food products, clothing and furniture, perfumes as well as commonly used products. The Muslims must order and find substitutes for these products and grudgingly continue to buy essential food items such as powdered milk, cheese, beef and so on that comes from western sources. This in the event they do not have alternatives like is the case in Mauritius where shortages forces the importers to rely on French ‘poulets’ or chicken and Australian beef (Australia is part of the ‘crusading’ nations against Islam). Boycotting products from the aggressors of Islam brings up the issue ‘food security’ in the Muslim world. The Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) does not talk about food security or the need to improve our food conditions and supply chains and even industrial capacity or agricultural capacity. This is omitted due to the fact that most of the Muslim nations of influence are bathing in an inflow of cash that they forget we need to secure food in order to not to be vulnerable to our enemies, or ‘friends’ like Muammar Qaddafi called the U.S. during the Arab League (AL) conference in Syria in March this year. Thus we see the need for an entire framework to be built through agencies linked to the OIC, Islamic Development Bank (IDB) and even the Arab League (AL). The OIC too need to have its own sub division that will handle Food Security and this is a salient issue. Will the OIC create a ‘food security’ division that will look into these problems? Nevertheless, we support the boycott of Western products from food, to IT and cars or airlines and even clothing. The alternative is there, it exists yet it is a question of a campaigning and the support of the Muslim leadership to make such a campaign successful. It is not impossible that WFOL throws itself into this campaign or even start a worldwide awareness campaign to help people decide on boycotts and of making the right choice when it comes to lack of alternatives. We welcome the creation of ‘Boycott West’ committees across the Muslim world and we will give all the editorial support for such a campaign to any one across the world. The battle is on to defeat the adamant western economies that are hiding behind ‘freedom of expression’ and ‘freedom of the press’ to throw stones and dirt at Muslims. As a matter of fact, it is the hypocrisy that is behind the western support for ‘freedom of press and of expression’ that is destroying both freedoms across the world! Western extremists, derelicts and fanatics from Denmark to the United States and the Netherlands are all using ‘freedoms’ to carry out their dirty ‘crusade’ against the Quraan, the constitution of the Muslim Ummah. It is their ‘political’ tool hence the Muslims must respond with a more intelligent ‘political’ tool and that is ‘boycott’. To the critics who would say that boycotting western products and food chains will bring loss of jobs for Muslims who work in such companies as well as loss of investment for Muslims who has shares in the companies, the answer is simple: Support the Muslims or help the west destroy more Muslim nations! It is either you are with us (Muslims) or you are with people like George W. Bush and his cahoots of bloodthirsty criminals. The Muslim investors can re-invent themselves and ‘steal’ the secrets of the western food chains. It will be justified to do so since in the past, the western nation stole from the Muslims in Baghdad when the great city was razed by the Mongols. They did the same in 2003 when the U.S. barbarians entered Iraq to destroy the country further. Comments (0)

A gold mania could happen.
Here's why... Gold manias begin when investors flee real estate, currencies, bonds, and stocks because their prospects are so bleak. We're close to that right now.
