Sudanese president Al-Bashir unambiguously considered it as a colonial plan from the West and stated that "we do not want Sudan to turn into another Iraq”.
According to reliable political analyst’s opinion the situation around Sudan is getting more and more tense these days. International Criminal Court (ICC) Prosecutor Luis Moreno-Ocampo insists on taking Sudanese President, Omar al-Bashir into custody for military and human offence in Darfur. But as analysts say, taking Sudanese President into custody will be no solution to the religious crisis. In fact recent tension started with the report of the US special envoy for Sudan, where he declares that Khartoum is not ready for any peaceful solutions between warring factions. As a result the US broke off bilateral American-Sudanese talks on the country’s peaceful settlement of issues. And everything that happened after was nothing but creating a lot of pressure around officials in Khartoum. It is the Ethiopian military intervention into the east part of Sudan, the Blue Nile province tension, the attacks on UN peacekeepers inside the country and blamed on the pro-government “Janjaweed” that has heightened the tension in Sudan. The situation in Sudan is extremely difficult now and taking its President into custody at this particular moment will bring a lot of negative impact. For example, it can disturb AU (African Union) and UNAMID (United Nations African Union Mission in Darfur) activities in the country. It can also lead to a variety of terror and military acts against UN humanitarian missionary, who already cancelled a big part of its activities in Sudan resulting in the people in Darfur suffering the most from it. Moreover, it can result in significant growth of separatist movements in Sudan, supported by radical extremist groups as “al-Qaida” and others. The whole negotiation process between central authorities and rebel groups can be disrupted due to this insensible interference and as a result lead to a full-scale civil war in Sudan. Sudanese president Al-Bashir unambiguously considered it as a colonial plan from the West and stated that "we do not want Sudan to turn into another Iraq”. In this particular situation it will be quite reasonable for the Islamic world to be more active in negotiations between Khartoum and the western world, engaging such international institutes as UN and the OIC in these negotiations. Obviously, this crisis situation in Sudan comes within western “double standard policy”, when other parts of the world with similar internal problems are not treated the same way. For example, there is no such ICC involvement in Palestine-Israel conflict, or in Iraq or Afghanistan. Analysts say that the Islamic world’s more active and conscious involvement into this crisis can become crucial for Sudanese people and country’s future. No Muslim countries really condemned or commented on the ICC’s attempt at dragging the Sudanese president to the International courts for a trial. The silence of the Muslim world is to be condemned and it is done here very strongly. This situation proves the deficiency of the Muslim world’s foreign policies, which tend to be more towards the sole interest of the countries individually rather than the collective defenses of the Ummah. Sudan is a very important partner in progress for countries like China and Malaysia and it is clear that the West, jealous of this situation, is not going to sit and allow non-Western nations to reap the profits of oil and other explorations in Sudan. The Sudanese President’s claim that all the troubles in Sudan is part of a bigger plot by the west to re-colonize his country could be real after all.

A gold mania could happen.
Here's why... Gold manias begin when investors flee real estate, currencies, bonds, and stocks because their prospects are so bleak. We're close to that right now.
