World Futures predicted Anwar can sink Umno and more PDF Print E-mail

World Futures is an international news and analysis magazine and we can call it Webzine. We have a few writers as the readers can witness and we are based primarily in Riau Islands, Indonesia. However, we do analysis that can often shock readers yet we have said or let us say ‘predicted’ more things that have happened than otherwise!

In 2007, we said that Anwar Ibrahim is capable of sinking the Umno. We did not write this to tease any political organizations or to praise Anwar but only to indicate what we thought was going to happen in Malaysia in the long run.

In the article we wrote: The former deputy PM can impose himself among the non-Muslim voters too, certainly in the minds of those who are really tired of the theatrics of the current regime. Malaysia has showed signs of fatigue and the BN has in return failed to respond to the rise in criticism against its rule. It now has Anwar Ibrahim to deal with, additionally to the existing opponents, and this will be costly to the BN regime.

After his crushing victory in Permatang Pauh, it is now confirmed that our analysis was indeed correct. The article can be seen here: Anwar is capable of sinking the Umno.

About Malaysia, we also said after the Ijok by-elections that General Elections would be sooner than expected and it was. Though we said the opposition will probably gain more than 50 seats, we did not expect the Umno to keep 79 seats though. We thought they will get barely 50 seats and if that had happened, the PR would be in power today.

During the Ijok by-elections, we also said that it would be wiser for the Party Keadilaan Rakyat (PKR) to lose in order to speed the General Elections. For a defeat of the BN in the Ijok polls would have pushed the General Elections further.
