Further Reading: The Mysterious Circle Around the Sun In the month of Ramadan, every night has a meaning as the nights of Ramadan are good for observation of the 'Sahur' or Sehri. In any night of Ramadhan-ul-Mubarak, after taraawih recite Surah QADR seven times. Allah Willing (Insha’Allah), the one who does so, will be saved from all troubles and afflictions. However, there is one night that is said to be worth a thousand nights and this is what the Muslims are supposed to be searching for during this holy month of fasting. Sponsored by: The Laila't'ul Qadr or Night of Forgiveness, mentioned in the Holy Al-Quraan is in fact a mystery that has baffled science since it was first observed. The Muslim has been given a special night which they have to seek and engage into prayers once the night is found in order to get salvation for their souls and purify their hearts. This night is said to be a powerful night when, in the absence of Lucifer, mankind is allowed to ask for anything and these wishes will be granted by the Grace of the Creator. The fasting month is a month long. This means there are 30 nights that has to be surveyed in order to know whether it is the night of salvation. In the communities of the past, the Muslims would delegate a few people during the nights of the Ramadhan to find out whether the Night of Forgiveness has been discovered. When they find a positive answer, the searchers for the night will send a wake up signal to the community either by giving the Azaan or call for prayer or by beating a drum or an alarm of some sort in order to reveal to the community that this particular night is the night for the special prayers. Search for the Night In different Muslim societies, the stories about how to find the Night of Power varies. In some, the people does not recall if there are historical or cultural attachments to the search for the night. However in the Indian subcontinent, stories abound of how the Muslims strive to find the night and to spend the time in solace and prayers. In the Malay subcontinent and its archipelagos, there are few stories that are known but records does not show any evidence of cultural attachments to the search for the night. However, the entire Muslim world observes the night every year during the month of Ramadan. The mind of great many religious scholars goes to the 27thnight. Keeping it ambiguous, unfolded the open expediency of Sharia, the religious code, that all the five nights (and when it becomes a habit: all the ten nights) be lived busy in striving for the Divine prayer, the invocation and the revamping of one’s self. How to know which night it is? It is a hard thing to do. But stories abound that some people have seen things, strange and impossible, during such nights. One story is that of Imam Nawawi (May Allahs mercy be with me). When he was 7 years old. He woke up at night and started waking everyone up and shouted “what is this light everywhere?” and from that his father realised that it was Laila Tul Qadr that night. People Of Allah Such privileges belongs to what is called the People of Allah. And once you do become the people of Allah Subhanu wa ta’ala, you won’t talk about things that have been made a duty upon you as Muslims, but you will talk about privileges of being Muslims. You will say “what a privilege it is to be a Muslim”. You will remove something harmful in someone’s way, you will not think that it’s my duty, but you will feel privileged to do so. Once you become people of Allah Subhanu wa ta’la, you will see things that a normal person will not see. And these people of Allah are the ones who can see those strange things, though there were circumstances where people who are known to be of bad habits may have come across strange happenings in the night of Power. This maybe the reason that has been given to them to change and to go back to the path of Allah. Only Allah knows! In this night, the Holy Quraan was sent down from Loh-e-Mehfooz (the Preserved Tablet) to the earth. Messenger of ALLAH (Blessings of Allah and peace be on him) told us to search for Shab-e-Qadr in the odd numbered nights, in the last ten days of Ramadhan. So, the 21st, 23rd, 25th, 27th or 29th night of Ramadan could be the Shab-e-Qadr or the Night of Power. Muslims are called upon to offer Salaat or Solat, recite the Holy Quraan, repent (Istaghfar), Pray for pardon, recite many Salawat or Darood (Sharif & Salaam) and make benediction (Dua'as or Doa's). A special Doa of Lailatul QADR: "ALLAH HUMMA INNAKA A’FUWUN TOHIB BUL AFWA FA’AFU ANNI" (Tirmidhi) "O Allah! You are the Forgiver and You like forgiving so forgive me” It is recommended to recite Surah Fatiha, Surah Qadr and Surah Ikhlas and Surah Waqiah during the night, from sunset to sunrise. Some people recite Surah Yaseen others they recite the Surah they like. There are no definitive Surah to read during these nights as all Surah can be read or recited. The following Astaghfar is recommended: "Allah Hummagh Fir Li Wa Tub A'laiyya Inna Ka Innta Tawwabur Raheem" OR "Astaghfirullah Rabbi Min Kulli Zambiyon Wa Atoobu ilaiyh" Benefit of this recitation: Effective for forgiveness of sins. Indeed the readers can also recite any other Astaghfar which they know. The few guidelines published in this article is only an indication. Comments (2)

A gold mania could happen.
Here's why... Gold manias begin when investors flee real estate, currencies, bonds, and stocks because their prospects are so bleak. We're close to that right now.

LAHORE, Pakistan — When Muhammad Saad Iqbal arrived home here in August after more than six years in American custody, including five at the military prison at Guantánamo Bay, Cuba, he had difficulty walking, his left ear was severely infected, and he was dependent on a cocktail of antibiotics and antidepressants.

As a Muslim, and a Malaysian, we have been exposed to a number of sunnah and we are following mazhab Ghazali,so the practice of or daily ibadah seems to be different from other parts of the world. I like tthe word, priviledge.it's never a duty of a Muslim when he/she understand it is a priviledge to do / perform their teachings of Islam.
