After years of colonial rule and faced with the onslaught of immigrants from Muslim countries, Britain is finally cracking. The once mighty empire is under pressure by Muslims born or living in the country to adopt Islamic laws as the basic guidelines for the Muslim communities there. This report will tell you more about the hearts and minds of the Muslims in Britain. Policy Exchange, a think tank based in the UK has released the results of a major new survey of the attitudes of Muslims in Britain and the reasons behind the rapid rise in Islamicfundamentalism amongst the younger generation. The authors of ‘Living Apart Together: British Muslims and the paradox of multiculturalism’ conclude that the growth of Islamism must be understood in relation to political and social trends that have emerged in British society and suggests that the way the Government is responding to Islamism is making things worse, not better.
Lead author of the report, Munira Mirza, said: "The emergence of a strong Muslim identity in Britain is, in part, a result of multicultural policies implemented since the 1980s which However, the report also indicates that the Muslims in Britain has their own views on several major issues:
Forty per cent of Muslims between the ages of 16 and 24 said they would prefer to live under sharia law in Britain. The report also raises questions about the scale of the problems created by Islamophobia, with 84 per cent of those questioned saying they believed they had been "treated fairly" in Britain. The report suggests that there is no problem with Islamaphobia, and that it is simply the ethnic pressure groups who are using such false grievances propaganda solely as a way for political and economic gain. The final two findings are also very revealing for what they reveal about British society and how the media distorts public perceptions for its own political reasons. Another interesting fact is the finding that 84 % of the UK Muslim population believe they have been treated fairly in Britain. However, several media outlets and some new political organizations as well as Non-Government Organizations (NGO) claimed the Muslims were ignorant, twisted in their views and were also not welcomed in Britain. This will be another story on World Futures soon. The full report can be found here: http://www.policyexchange.org.uk/images/libimages/246.pdf

Here's why... Gold manias begin when investors flee real estate, currencies, bonds, and stocks because their prospects are so bleak. We're close to that right now.

LAHORE, Pakistan — When Muhammad Saad Iqbal arrived home here in August after more than six years in American custody, including five at the military prison at Guantánamo Bay, Cuba, he had difficulty walking, his left ear was severely infected, and he was dependent on a cocktail of antibiotics and antidepressants.
