America: The bad apple of the civilized world Many among the Muslims would not agree that the United States is the enemy of Islam and of the Muslims. They would point out to the humanitarian aspects of things, saying that America cannot be blamed for one mad fool’s misjudgment of Islam and of the Muslims. Well that argument would stand ground if there was one mad foolish man running the destiny of the U.S. and putting it in opposition against the Muslims. The fact is the situation is not that simple in Washington, where there is an entire regime supported by its own cabinet (known as the ‘war cabinet’) and by the machineries of a political party that is called the Republican Party.
What America is doing to the Muslims is
not the work of one stupid foolish man, it is on the contrary, a well composed
government elected by the American people – one like it or not this is how a
democracy work – and it is also supported by a group of extremists called the
‘Neo conservatives’.
Many young Muslims tend to look at criticism directed towards the U.S. as unfair and too one sided or even blatantly anti-American in nature. This is what you get when you act on unilateral basis and when you commit yourself to murder. The Muslims who shows pity towards America and some other western nations are showing sympathy towards the so called innocent Americans, those who are not involved in the war on terrorism and the attacks against Muslims. I believe that even the dark horse of the war on terrorism, Osama Bin Laden (OBL) himself – the Sheikh to millions of Muslims – would agree to say that (and his opinion will be important to all of us) not all the U.S. is guilty of the crimes committed by the George Bush administration. Does that mean the U.S. is innocent? Does that mean that all criticism directed towards the U.S. is unfair and is one sided? I doubt so. OBL himself would continue by saying that the U.S. needs to be taught a lesson and has to be punished for its crimes in Afghanistan, Iraq and for tolerating the Jewish state of Israel in the Middle East. What the fringe of Muslims who supports the U.S. in its war on terrorism – which is a war on Islam and the Muslims – does not understand (and they certainly are flawed in their arguments) is that the Americans are responsible for the systematic murder of innocent people in Afghanistan, Somalia, Iraq, Palestine, Lebanon and to name it will be to disclose a long list of crimes here. America is the bad apple of the world and it has to be told that. I wonder what the Muslims who defend America have to say about the killings in Iraq or in Somalia. Are the Americans killing terrorists? What goes into the minds and hearts of these Muslims to be able to say that the Americans are not all guilty when the Americans are blaming the entire Muslim world for the problems caused by the empiric policies of America? Is it fair for the Americans in their large majority to blame one man – OBL indeed – for the attacks against the U.S.? If that is fair, then it will be equally fair for the Muslims who are against the American wars on Islam to voice their criticism and to even tell the Americans in general that they are wrong and that they need to nurture a moral ground where every one at fault can be judged. But this is not going to happen since the Americans are growing adamant on one side while on the other side of the fence, they are becoming incapable on deciding whether Bush and his warmongering regime is wrong and should be done with? In the wake of the 2006 mid-term elections in the U.S., the American population showed its anger against a war that went the wrong way. They did not show their disagreement against the regime of Bush nor did they say ‘well, we gave Bush a chance, now we have to really kick him out of office.” Instead, they voted in such a way that characterized their support for the war if the war goes in the right direction and if the Iraqis (Muslims by the way) are subdued to the might of America. The elections also proved that the Americans love their President’s war but they do not want to lose, they cannot take defeat as an answer and if Bush started the war is ending it as loser, they are not going to be blamed for such a defeat. It is the entire American nation, its press (which is not free anymore), its civil society and its political class as well as its unions and armed forces that are to be blamed for the current ills that the world is suffering. And I find it totally absurd and impossibly degenerating for a single Muslim to support such a regime and to support its wars against Muslims and its undermining of Islam at all cost! People can be judgmental when they decide to support the U.S. in the war on terrorism but they hate when one is judgmental against their views and against their support for the American butchers. It is a real butchery against civilian Muslims and unarmed or fleeing soldiers that the Americans are guilty of. Yes the Americans are guilty of such crimes because they had the opportunity to vote against the oppressive regime of Bush Jr. but they did not, instead they confirmed his first victory with a much larger share of votes and this shows that America, is a warring nation with a population that believe in wars and oppression against Muslims. America is the promoter of democracy and this democracy states that a country is represented by its government, not by its people or by dissenting voices or again by a bunch of Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO). It is the regime that is in power that represents the entire country, its population and it the regime that leads the entire population, its senate and congress to war against an enemy. There is no escape from this when you are in a democracy and this is what the Americans are trying to implement in both Afghanistan and Iraq. They call it national responsibility and they want the rest of the world to abide to it by joining the Americans in this democratic process that make it possible for a government to present the entire nation in any events, including wars. When the anti-American voice in the Muslim world criticizes the Americans they do so because they are targeting the deadly regime that the American people have put in place in the White House. Such criticism are generalized as much as is the support that some shows for the Bush administration. Criticizing G. Bush Jr. alone will not make it right since there is this entire machinery behind the bloke that is running the show in the country. Bush is President of the U.S. because a majority of the Americans voted for them. This is what the democratic system says. It is hence justified that the critics of the Bush regime are also criticizing the people of America for their support given to this administration in two Presidential elections. Both the Afghan and Iraq wars went wrong from the beginning and the American people had ample opportunity to wipe Bush out into the dustbin of history. They did not do that, they voted him in again because there was no valuable opponent against him. The Americans must take the responsibility in the face of history that they did nothing or too little to bring down the dictatorial regime of G. W. Bush Jr. and they cannot complain if in the future, the Muslims who are against the U.S. for political reasons would continue to be against them even in the aftermath of Bush.
The pity is that many Muslims do not
see the crimes the U.S.
is committing in the name of liberty and democracy. They tend to ignore the
massacre of thousands by the American soldiers. They also tend to show that
they watch the news only to see dead people like in movies and in cartoons.
They forget that the dead are dead and they were killed because of the actions
of the Americans, which in the case of Iraq is the direct result of the
invasion of the country by American forces in 2003. It will take the collective effort of Muslims to tell the American people that they are indeed responsible for becoming the bad apple of history, the rotten apple of the civilized world. Then only there will be a moral ground where the Muslims can decide which Americans are to be blamed and which are those who deserve credit for opposing and for removing the old dead bark from their backyard. Then only the Muslims will be able to say which among them are to be blamed for the ills that are ravaging the Muslim world. Only after this will the people of the world finally understand that it was not Islam that was responsible for 911 but that it was more or less the product of a political faction that needed a putsch to make its point in international politics. Now whether this political wing is the Al-Qaeda or the Americans themselves, it is not the issue here. The issue here is whether the Americans are to blame for the criticism that America is facing for the mishandling of the wars and rendition of Muslims in the most illegal manner. Yes, the verdict is clear. Since America abides by democracy and following democratic principles, the entire American nation is to blame for the continued heresy of the Bush Jr. regime which is still in place in the White House and is planning more wars. Had the wars gone well and America had won in Afghanistan and Iraq, the entire American population would be seen celebrating Bush’s victory against the Muslims – aka against Islam! Comments (0)

Here's why... Gold manias begin when investors flee real estate, currencies, bonds, and stocks because their prospects are so bleak. We're close to that right now.

LAHORE, Pakistan — When Muhammad Saad Iqbal arrived home here in August after more than six years in American custody, including five at the military prison at Guantánamo Bay, Cuba, he had difficulty walking, his left ear was severely infected, and he was dependent on a cocktail of antibiotics and antidepressants.
