This was the last time that Osama was seen alive and leading his men out of Tora Bora. There is another story revealed by some Mujahideen brothers and fighters who were with Osama on the very last day of the American attacks beyond the Tora Bora Mountains. Reports from Pakistan are highlighting the possible death of Osama Bin Laden, the Saudi millionaire who has a US50 million bounty on his head. Osama would be 51 years old if he is still alive, but his whereabouts is unknown. A top-ranking Pakistani intelligence officer told Arab News that Osama Bin Laden was killed in 2001 in Tora Bora when he was leading a caravan. “Two caravans left Tora Bora before US Air Force went to drop Daisy Cutters. Osama was heading toward west when his caravan was hit by deadly US bombing,” he said.During the same time, President Pervez Musharraf told the Newsweek magazine that “my latest information says he suffered from kidney ailment and was in need of regular dialysis.” But thereafter another videotape of Osama appeared. However, the late Benazir Bhutto during her last interview with David Frost said Osama bin laden was killed in 2002 by a Pakistani intelligence official whom she accused of attempting to eliminate her too. Mullah Omar, the personal friend of Osama Bin Laden did mention that Osama was now in the safest place in the universe when he was asked where his brother at arms was hiding. This was in 2002 when the Mullah gave an interview to a western television network.Nevertheless, Pakistani officials has been wild at the constant use of Osama bin Laden’s video tapes and audio tapes – which they say may not be from the Mujahideen leader at all – and has urged the US to stop using the dead body of Osama. On the other hand, Yvonne Ridley, the British journalist who was held captive by the Taliban in 2001 and who has since embraced Islam revealed how Osama bin Laden escaped the inferno at Tora Bora. In an article which she published on her own blog she wrote that in an interview with foreign Mujahideen fighters in Afghanistan, she was told how Osama escaped the US attacks against his forces in Tora Bora.Tora Bora was a symbol in the Afghan war in 2001 which saw the invasion of the country by US forces. Washington had depicted Tora Bora as an impenetrable maze of caves deep inside the mountains of Tora Bora where Osama was said to be in hiding. The true story is that Tora Bora is nothing but a mountain with natural caves used by the Mujahideen to store their weapons and pray or recite the Holy Al-Quraan. There were no elaborate or sophisticated caves that were impenetrable.Ridley spoke to one Shaheen who said he remembered the day Bin Laden escaped, saying it was around mid-December 2001. “We stayed on the front line to help Bin Laden escape,” he basically said. “We positioned ourselves in a reverse pincer movement amongst the mountains,” he says, “leaving a central group which fired mortar rounds into the Northern Alliance. As they scattered and lost formation, we picked them off at will. “Some of the brothers began to talk of taking the fight back to the times of the Prophet Mohammed and fighting the Americans with swords." This was the last time that Osama was seen alive and leading his men out of Tora Bora. There is another story revealed by some Mujahideen brothers and fighters who were with Osama on the very last day of the American attacks beyond the Tora Bora Mountains. It tells of an American pursuit by helicopters of a group of 2000 more Mujahideen fighters who had left Afghanistan and were heading for the Hindu Kuch mountains. This is an area where Indian, Pakistan and Afghanistan meet. The US forces were however driven out from the area after huge storms disturbed their helicopters, crashing some and killing commandos. The battle was the toughest since the Osama group gave a hard time to the special forces from the US on top of these mountains. The US insisted Osama was among the Mujahideens who managed to escape the region and disappear until today in the mist and fogs of the frontier. In 2002, the Taliban leader Mullah Omar said in an interview to the western press who asked him where Osama was had replied that his brother at arms was in a safe place, a place where no one will be able to disturb him anymore. According to Islamic beliefs, a dead person’s soul is sent to the Alam-e-Barzakh or a place which is between Heaven and Earth and where souls are kept before the judgment day in the hereafter. This is a place where people on earth are not able to reach and the souls are not disturbed by anyone and by any means.Did he mean that Osama was already dead and that his soul was now in the Alam-e-Barzakh? We will never know until we hear or see the tomb of Osama Bin Laden one day when the US is kicked out of Afghanistan for good.

A gold mania could happen.
Here's why... Gold manias begin when investors flee real estate, currencies, bonds, and stocks because their prospects are so bleak. We're close to that right now.

Very few people in Jakarta commented on the 'rising' sentiments towards the bombers but deep inside many think the bombers – especially Imam Samudra – went to the extent of bombing Bali due to their rigid beliefs regarding 'Maksyat' or illicit life styles.

The American constitution, the basis of democracy in the USA is indeed a good example of how a democratic system can be hijacked by a group of people with an evil agenda. Democracy is violated in Kenya too where Kenya's opposition movement, which is challenging the election in December that Kenya's president, Mwai Kibaki, narrowly won. In Palestine, the legitimate government is now being suffocated...What democracy is it?
