The
Democratic Party is campaigning for the retreat of troops in Iraq by arguing that the hurricane season did
not start yet in the US
but the country is already in trouble. The Democrats are focusing on the fact
that the country’s resources are stretched to the limit however, there are
greater dangers looming over the US. At this moment in its history,
the US
is totally vulnerable against potential attacks from its declared enemies.
According to an email from the Democratic Party to World Futures, the US is facing a lack of equipment to handle a crisis like the recent spell of tornadoes, fires and floods this year. Nevertheless, this lack of resources could also translate in a security vulnerability of the country and if exploited by the enemies of the US, it could be of catastrophic consequences too. In the event of such a happening in the form of terror attacks on American soil due to its limited defensive and National Guard’s resources, the US government will attempt at boosting its image by attacking yet another Muslim country. This time it may be Iran, Syria or even Pakistan says experts on military warfare who spoke to WFOL. If there is an exit strategy for the US forces in Iraq and that it will take huge efforts by the Iraqis, the Americans and the International Muslim community to find this exit strategy. “We believe in this strategy for the sake of the peace and progress of the Iraqi people,” said one of the experts on the Middle East to WFOL. “It's not just a matter of tents and Humvees -- we need our troops home too,” wrote Tom McMahon of the Democratic Party. The US would need those resources which are missing because of the war in Iraq. One of the experts said that perhaps the American government under George Bush is waiting for such a catastrophe, an attack by terror organizations on its soil, to push for more wars outside the borders of the US. It is pure folly but had the US regime in place now not dragged the American nation into such follies like Afghanistan and Iraq. Besides, the American government is also profession the destruction of the democratic foundation in Palestine where the Hamas, an anti-American entity that won the democratic polls in the occupied territories, is in power. What this proves is that the US is not pushing for democracy in Iraq or in the Middle East but it is rather hoping for attacks at home, attacks that can help it push for more military spending and extended control of land and resources in the Middle East. The current situation in Palestine has prompted the US to make plans to build an expensive sophisticated ‘anti-missile’ defense system for Israel. What this will cost to the American public, alongside the already heavy military budget and security budget spending will be catastrophic in the long run. This is part of the agenda of the current US regime, that is to spend more on military, security issues and anti-terror gadgets that does not really help the American public but that benefits the leadership of America and its cronies. The US is looking for a solid reason to beef its military machinery and to launch a war against Iran and Syria. The administration is in need of an event like the 911 event, to push the red button that will order the army to launch a full scale war against these two Muslim nations. Behind the curtain of secrecy – the Americans are today used to the lack of transparency in their government (officials citing the public’s interest) – there might also be a plot that is being crafted to allow attacks on American soil while the country’s resources are limited and stretched. This will then lead to the wars that we suggested may happen. There were tornadoes that caused ravages to homes and other buildings in Kansas, fires in California, Georgia and Florida while floods battered Missouri. The US is simply not capable to handle such catastrophic events across the country, said the Democratic Party in its online campaign against the war in Iraq. When the category five tornado hit Greensburg, Kansas, approximately 60 percent of its National Guard equipment was gone because of the war in Iraq. In a town that was 95 percent destroyed, the relief process has been hindered by lack of equipment, and Kansas is even more vulnerable if another disaster strikes. And Kansas isn't the only state feeling the pinch. Even Republican Arnold Schwarzenegger agrees that the troops are stretched thin. In California, where more than $1 billion of military inventory is gone, the governor said that "a lot of equipment has gone to Iraq, and it doesn't come back when the troops come back." Most of the equipment is either destroyed, badly damaged due to over use or is left behind for other troops to use them. The US is missing important resources to cater for the situation within its territory while it is persistent in carrying out the war in Iraq. Approximately 80 percent of the country's National Guard and Reservists have been sent to Iraq and Afghanistan since 2001. They've spent an average of 18 months per tour of duty, and more than 84,000 of them have been deployed more than once. U.S. Air Force Major General Melvyn S. Montano (Ret.) said it best: “Homeland security begins with hometown security and we have a responsibility to rebuild our National Guard and make sure they have the equipment and training they need to keep our communities safe,” he said. It is time for President Bush to listen to the American people and finally acknowledge the facts on the ground -- both in Iraq and in the US. Now that more and more Republican lawmakers are beginning to see that the stay-the-course approach in Iraq is unsustainable, it is time for Bush President to finally work in a bipartisan fashion to change course. A gold mania could happen.
Here's why... Gold manias begin when investors flee real estate, currencies, bonds, and stocks because their prospects are so bleak. We're close to that right now.

Very few people in Jakarta commented on the 'rising' sentiments towards the bombers but deep inside many think the bombers – especially Imam Samudra – went to the extent of bombing Bali due to their rigid beliefs regarding 'Maksyat' or illicit life styles.

The American constitution, the basis of democracy in the USA is indeed a good example of how a democratic system can be hijacked by a group of people with an evil agenda. Democracy is violated in Kenya too where Kenya's opposition movement, which is challenging the election in December that Kenya's president, Mwai Kibaki, narrowly won. In Palestine, the legitimate government is now being suffocated...What democracy is it?
