The National Police will question serial killer suspect Verry "Ryan" Idam Hensyansyah using a polygraph on Monday. The decision to conduct the test was made after the suspect made contradicting statements regarding the murders of at least 10 victims found buried in the backyard of his house in Jombang, East Java. East Java Police detective chief Sr. Comr. Rusli Nasution told reporters Saturday the use of a polygraph, or lie detector, had become necessary as Ryan had repeatedly changed his statements during a number of interrogations with officers. The polygraph measures physiological changes caused by the sympathetic nervous system during questioning, where lies commonly produce distinctive measurements. "We do it so that we can be sure of the data we have," Rusli said, adding that Ryan would be allowed a 24-hour-rest period before the test. He also said that as of Saturday, the crime scene investigation of Ryan's house in Jombang, East Java, had been temporarily terminated pending more leads. The police found 10 bodies in Ryan's backyard and believe there may be up to six more bodies buried in the area. Earlier this week, Ryan was subjected to a psychological examination during which it was deduced that he had been mentally fit and conscious when committing the alleged murders. East Java Police psychiatrist Adj. Sr. Comr. Rony Subagyo in Surabaya on Thursday said Ryan fully understood what he had done and the consequences. Rony said the suspect's violent behavior was the result of being exposed to regular family quarreling when he was a child and of a general lack of family care toward him. There is no link between his homosexuality and his brutal actions, Rony said. Comments (0)

Very few people in Jakarta commented on the 'rising' sentiments towards the bombers but deep inside many think the bombers – especially Imam Samudra – went to the extent of bombing Bali due to their rigid beliefs regarding 'Maksyat' or illicit life styles.

The American constitution, the basis of democracy in the USA is indeed a good example of how a democratic system can be hijacked by a group of people with an evil agenda. Democracy is violated in Kenya too where Kenya's opposition movement, which is challenging the election in December that Kenya's president, Mwai Kibaki, narrowly won. In Palestine, the legitimate government is now being suffocated...What democracy is it?
